![]() The biggest disadvantage to this would be all the maneuvers you would lose by taking 5 levels in the Crinti class. Which means you can teleport behind someone using a maneuver, flank with an ally, and get a bunch of sneak-attacks off. Both classes give you the limited ability to teleport through shadows - part of Crinti is doing so on a mount - and perhaps more importantly you'll eventually get the ability to full-attack on a teleport. The first two are very similar - I'd recommend Crinti for your character because Telflammar has a LOT of requirements and they aren't going to be easy for you to get. Since you're talking about shadows being a huge part of this character, I have three prestige class suggestions off the top of my head: Telflammar Shadowlord, Crinti Shadow Marauder, and Shadow Sun Ninja. Oh man, Swordsage is probably my favorite class. So good people of DnD what should I do? Thanks for your help, I have had a post and some comment questions that have helped mold this character into something I'm very happy to be playing. As you can see I do not have much wisdom or int to add to damage, so I am mostly dex (shadow blade). My first level is rogue I took two weapon fighting and I am a whisper gnome. A level or two is fine, but I do not want 18 levels of swashbuckler or anything like that. Also, probably more important, if there is another class I should take a dip in. ![]() I plan to heavily roleplay his new shadow manipulation abilities as part of him learning who he truly is.Īnyway, I need help on when to take levels in swordsage and rogue. If its not a sneak attack I would rather spend my turn flanking around then attacking head on. I want to tumble, sneak, and control shadows to get around my enemies and strike in vital points. My rogue is a dual dagger wielding sneak attack machine. I just started playing my new Rogue and before I level up I wanted to spice him up a bit so I started to look into multiclassing. Decided to grab split between rogue and swordsage but willing to take a dip here or there.
